horror film has finally arrived on <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/netflix\/\">Netflix<\/a> to turn your stomach.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/09\/28\/saw-x-pushes-viewers-to-limit-with-shocking-sequence-19564507\/\">Saw X<\/a>, released in 2023, is the tenth installment in the wildly popular \u2018torture porn\u2019 franchise Saw, which <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/10\/01\/first-watched-saw-20-years-ago-plot-twist-still-makes-shudder-21663762\/\">began in 2004<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The latest film took us back in time and saw the return of Tobin Bell as John Kramer, aka the terrifying Jigsaw killer, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/09\/28\/saw-x-chilling-new-trap-reveals-vile-play-on-waterboarding-19555829\/\">elaborate traps and trials<\/a> have given us numerous nightmare-inducing moments in horror cinema.<\/p>\n<p>Saw X is <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/09\/29\/the-certified-order-to-watch-saw-films-according-to-superfan-19566188\/\">set between the events of Saw and Saw II<\/a> and sees Kramer travel to Mexico in search of a miracle cure following his <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/cancer\/\">cancer<\/a> diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>When he discovers the entire medical procedure he undergoes is a scam, he seeks bloody vengeance against those involved with another set of his infamous traps.<\/p>\n<div href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/rotten-tomatoes\/\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, with the critic\u2019s consensus reading: \u2018Led by a franchise-best performance from Tobin Bell, Saw X reinvigorates the series with an installment that has a surprising amount of heart to go with all the gore.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In their review, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/09\/28\/movies\/saw-x-review.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> wrote: \u2018This is the most well-groomed Saw movie to date. The story mostly makes sense and [Kevin] Greutert pulls back on the frenetic editing techniques that made the older movies look like the blood and guts equivalent of white noise.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/reviews\/3780230\/saw-x-review-a-satisfying-gory-return-to-basics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bloody Disgusting<\/a> added: \u2018Saw X delivers a franchise high, and that\u2019s no small feat ten installments deep. There\u2019s a comfortable sense of awareness and humor found in a sequel that utilizes its pared-back simplicity to showcase the characters and gore.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flickdirect.com\/4k-review\/2986\/saw-x\/4k.ashx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FlickDirect<\/a> said Saw X is \u2018probably one of the best Saw films in over ten years\u2019, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filminquiry.com\/saw-x-review-2-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Film Inquiry<\/a> lauded its \u2018brutal, surgical precision and film\u2019s release, producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg shared their famous bloody kills and convoluted traps from across the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018My favorite trap, or the scariest trap for me, is in Saw I,\u2019 Oren reflected. \u2018The guy laying on the floor, when Amanda takes the key out of the guy\u2019s stomach and takes the head trap off, that\u2019s me on the floor getting my stomach cut open.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So, I have a very personal attachment to that trap.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018My scariest trap was one where we call the Twisty Tim, where he was on a cross and we just bent his arms, and kept twisting his arms around until they snapped out of the sockets,\u2019 Mark added.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018To me, that just would scare the hell out of me.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>It comes as <a
