The new horror film from Black Panther director Ryan Coogler<\/a> was released this weekend, pitting star Michael B Jordan<\/a> against a nest of bloodthirsty vampires.<\/p>\n

Set in the 1930s Deep South, the film stars Creed actor Michael, 38, as identical twins Elijah \u2018Smoke\u2019 and Elias \u2018Stack\u2019 Moore. <\/p>\n

Returning to their hometown after years spent living in Chicago, the brothers open up a bustling juke joint in what used to be a local sawmill.<\/p>\n

However, as they attempt to leave their troubled past behind, the pair encounter an ancient evil that threatens to consume both the brothers and their community.<\/p>\n

Released on April 18, the film has already generated strong word of mouth<\/a> among critics and audience members alike, with many describing it as \u2018the best new horror film in years.\u2019<\/p>\n

And this is backed up by its already-impressive Rotten Tomatoes score, boasting a 98% fresh Tomatometer rating on the review aggregator.<\/p>\n

Taking to social media website X in the wake of recent screenings, fans shared their thoughts on Ryan and Michael\u2019s latest collaboration.<\/p>\n
